Notifying Analysts when Action Log was updated on a Service Request RRS feed

  • Question

  • The below Management Pack will notify an analyst when the action log is updated on incidents, I am trying to modify it to work on Service requests.

I have modified it and updated all of the references, the template, and anything else (as far as I can tell) that would point to the incident library to now use the service request library.  But for some reason after I import (which it does with no errors) it still notifies on the incident action log.  It even shows up under subscriptions using a service request template, how is this possible? And what did I miss that I have to change?

If needed I can post the xml of my modified management pack.

  • This can be done now via console in scsm2012 using the trouble ticket has user comment -> assigned to user (Create subscribtion). Works for both SR and incidents. This way you can also make additional criteria saying: private field does not equal true (so it only triggers when private field is not marked).

  • Hi, are you able to provide further details on this tpye of notification? I've tried to configure it using the "Trouble Ticket User Comments" class, but I cannot get it to work - the workflow doesn't trigger when a comment is entered on the Portal.  Is that the right class? What criteria did you use?
