Cost Threshold for Parallelism in SQL for SharePoint 2019 RRS feed

  • Question

  • By default, the value of Cost threshold for parallelism is 5 in SQL. If  we change to 25 or 50, is it going to make any performace difference in SharePoint 2019 ? Please advise.

  • Yes, SharePoint Servers 2019 support Azure SQL Managed Instance (MI). But SharePoint Server farms must be hosted in Microsoft Azure to support Azure SQL Managed Instance. The SharePoint Server farm and the managed instance must be hosted in the same Azure region. SharePoint Server farms don't support managed instances when hosted in customer data-centers.

You can't keep both if you install they just updates the latest version. .Net 4.6.1 is the minimum required, you can simply install the .Net 4.6.2 no need to install both.
