linux host in windows as optional RRS feed

  • I am using  desmond which is used for molecular dynamics , this is the product of schrodinger and needs Linux host for running job. I can run another products without desmond . now my question is how can I use Linux host as optional and how can I install this host .

    desmond needs linux to run it's job. I am using win-10 64 bit . I want to keep win-10 and want to use Linux host for running desmond

  • Your Windows 10 computer is the host.  

    If you want to run Linux in a VM, you will need to install Hyper-V or another virtualization product like VirtualBox or VMware Player/Workstation.  Once you have your hypervisor installed, you can go ahead and install Linux in the virtual machine and run it in a window on your desktop.
