Error while virtualising Adobe Reader X RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I’m trying to virtualise    Adobe Reader X               on App-V 4.6.    My OS is Windows 7.     I get the following error msg when I open AcroRead.exe after installation from the O drive. "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. Program :O:\AdbRdr10\Reader\AcroRd32.exe. THis application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way. Please contact the applications support team for more info."

  • Is the Registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown\bProtectedMode captured in the package and set to 0?

How are you installing Reader - manually or using a custom transform?

  • App-V 4.6 SP1 Package Accelerator for Reader 10.1 here: http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Adobe-Reader-X-101-en-US-42e026c8

That should create a successful package for you, no messing about required.

  • Hello,

Is there a difference between the sequencer and the client machine you are targetting?
