Task Scheduler Problem (run whether user is logged on or not) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Friends,

I have been having problems getting tasks to launch appropriately, so I set up a basic task as a test.  I set it to open notepad.exe (C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe) at a specific time.

And I choose run whether user is logged on or not. But this does not open. If I select Run only when user is logged on radio button this works perfectly.

Please suggest why this is not working on run whether user is logged on or not.

Because if we want to run a program whether user is logged on or not, the program can't involve shell and interaction.

Here is a good blog about it:

    Best Regards.
