SMIT for Powershell RRS feed

  • Question

  • Not sure if many people still remember the excellent System Management Interface Tool(for Aix) or Tims menu backwards :)

I have started to pull together a basic system using Write-Menu project as the front end.

It can do multi select values on menus and could auto mate building servers, setting IP addresses etc,

Anyone see any value and/or interested in making this a project building on Writ-Meenu as the front end?

  • Look in the Gallery for numerous examples of what you are trying to do.

You project is a bit dated but should be a good learning experience.

  • I have looked for Powershell Menu and can not find one that is cursor driven, allows multiple select etc.

Only other examples seem to be basic Switch statement menus or Windows Forms(Which has too many perquisites)

Could you kindly point to the examples you are referring to.

  • There is no PowerShell menu that can do what you ask.  Use forms.
