Disable Monitoring Specific Databases RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are getting constant alerts for specific databases that are offline. I've spoken to our Database team who have said we no longer need these DBs to be monitored.

How do i disable monitoring of specific databases?

  • Hi,

In the OpsMgr Console, Authoring, Object Discoveries, search for SQL in 'Look for'

Find the Discovered Type, e.g. MSSQL 2014: Discover Databases for a Database Engine

Right click e.g. MSSQL 2014: Discover Databases for a Database Engine, Overrides, Override the Object Discovery, For all objects of class: SQL Server 2014 DB Engine

Mark Exclude list, insert all database names, separated only by a COMMA

Save to a new Management Pack, not the default Management Pack
