Changes in Partition & Format caused loss of network drive and 'Delayed write' error in USB deployment RRS feed

  • Question

  • We had a USB deployment that worked fine. Yesterday, we changed the Partition and Format task to create 4 drives (was 2), and then it threw 'Delayed write' errors complaining can't copy logs files.

I looked into the system (with F8) when the errors popped up and couldn't find the 'BOOT' and 'DEPLOY' drives, which I used to see. The only drives available are C: and X:, C: only has 'Windows\Temp\...' folder with log files.

My suspect is that since the system has been used for previous build (with Partition & Format to 2 drives), but now we are changing to 4 drives, that confused or messed up the system and thus the failed deployment. But I've cleaned (with Diskpart) the target system (disk 0) multiple times, which should wipe out any previous format.

    Any ideas?
