When/who uses ‘connector filter rules RRS feed

  • Question

  • Forum Members,

I have a confusion as in when/who uses ‘connector filter rules’?

Do these rules get applied during import or during synchronization?

To make it more clear say my ‘authorized data source’ MA has only two run profiles, full import and full synch.

When connector filter rules will apply, during full import orduring full synch?

    Kindly help.

    Thanks in anticipation.

  • Filters are applied during sync only, and are never as good an option as excluding them from the import entirely (e.g. with the AD MA you can exclude certain OUs from being present in the CS at all).  Sometimes filters are unavoidable with some types of MAs, but these always come with the overhead cost of being reprocessed each sync.
