  • Hi,

if your Windows Server 2008 R2 without active Software assurance in volume licensing, than you need to purchase the new 2012/2012 R2 license for upgrading your Server from 2008 R2 to 2012.

there are any upgrade Price from 2008 R2 to 2012/2012 R2. it means that you purchase the full Price license.

    thanks

  • Hi,

yes, in general this will have a cost as you will need a license for the new OS.

The price might vary according to the edition you purchase, the channel you buy from and your current license agreement(s).

I would suggets to contact a vendor/reseller and request a quote. they should also be able to help in selecting the correct license for your requirements. http://pinpoint.microsoft.com
