Slow computer unable to download Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64 based system

Sir or Madam I need your help.
I apologise if I am not at the right forum. It is confusing for a grumpy old man...
I am not able to download (from Windows Update) Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for an x64A based system (KB976932).
1. A file needed by Windows Update may be corrupted or missing.
2. Norton Internet Security encountered an error: 8504,104
3. Windows Update Error: 800B0100
I am not able to click on the Yes or No ITEMS in the Windows Update Standalone Installer Dialog box as it is hidden by the tool bar at the bottom of the screen. I can’t scroll down that far.
Internet Explorer 9
MS Windows 7
MS Outlook 2007

Hi Dave,
After more than 20 minutes the download was 100% completed. Unfortunetly the download could not install. An Error was presented CODE 8024200D stating, the process requires administrative privileges. Please accept the User Access prompt, Or, if needed, enter your administrative credentials.
Please advise. thanks for your support.

I'd ask them in the Windows 7 forums. We can't move this thread so you need to ask again but over there.
