BSOD on Windows Server 2019 build 17744 RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • On the WS 2019 build 17744 a serious bug discovered. If I log out of an administrator account and try to log on into another administrator account (for now this machine has only administrator accounts), Windows crashes into a BSOD. After reboot, log in is possible.

  • Hi,

I just tried this in my lab environment (fresh installed Windows Server 2019 Standard (build 1744), I have two different local administrator accounts and tried logging out and in 10-15 times and everything worked just fine.

Are your administrator accounts local administrators as well?

    Best regards,

  • One is the build in administrator account, the other a local account converted into an administrator account. I prefer to control the machine via that administrator account for safety reasons. The build is upgraded from the previous installation, not a clean install. The previous one was the same. Datacenter with Desktop Experience.

  • I did the exact same thing with the administrator accounts.

Maybe there is some issue when performing an upgrade.
