  • Error in Exchange Server 2013 CU12 - related to Lync Server

    Application\MSExchange AuthAdmin (2007)

The trusted issuer LyncEnterprise* at URL https://Server1/metadata/json/1 changed configuration metadata in an unsupported manner. The problem requires administrator intervention.

Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this and what we can do to resolve it?

  • what is your Lync server version ?  is it Lync 2010 ? if its the case disable Oauth authetication to solve this.

Oauth authentication is supported from the Lync server 2013/Skype for business servers

After you have assigned the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate you must then configure your Skype for Business Server 2015 partner applications. (The procedure about to be discussed configures both Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 and SharePoint to act as partner applications, which is optional.) To configure an on-premises partner application, you must start by copying the following Windows PowerShell script and pasting the code into Notepad (or any other text editor):

Getting Internal Server Error 500 when creating New-CsPartnerApplication for Exchange 2013

When running this cmdlet you might get the error “New-CsPartnerApplication: Cannot bind parameter ‘MetadataUrl’ to the target. Exception setting “MetadataUrl”: “The metadata document could not be downloaded from the URL in the MetadataUrl parameter or downloaded data is not a valid metadata document, error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.”

When you look in the IIS log on the CAS server you will see a corresponding entry similar to this 2012-11-20 14:03:57 GET /autodiscover/metadata/json/1 – 443 – – 500 0 0 265″.
