Taxonomy Column - Term available in Picker, but not accepted in field RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we have a strange behaviour with one term of a termset. The termset is bound to a taxonomy column.

    • A term is available in the picker, but when I click it, it gets underlined in red.
    • The term is not found while "search-while-typing".

    Any idea?

    thanks

    Sven

  • Hi Sven,

How did you pick the term and click the term? could you please provide the screenshot about the issue?

To troubleshoot the issue, you could check if the term exists in the term set in the managed metadata service.

    Best regards,

    Sara Fan

  • Hello Sven W,

Is it a custom web part or OOB SharePoint List form? If it is custom web part check your logic to associate the field with team set. If you can share your code it will help to suggest you better.

And if it is OOB list form, edit the field and check which term set it is associated with ? Check the default value of field. You can also check the term that is appearing red whether it exists in your term store or not.

You can go to Term Store Management

Go to settings --> Under Site Administration look for Term Store Management.

    Thanks,
