Problem with receiving updates on computers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

    In past few months i have some random issues on random computers, where updates are not downloading and installing . I have checked logs and found that Group policy settings were overwritten by a higher authority (Domain Controller) to: Server https://internet facing DP name and Policy ENABLED

    Policy is not enabled, i have checked with AD team couple times, but i still receive this in logs. After some time, maybe or not, computers are able to receive updates. I will need your help to solve this issue if there is any fix, tips or tricks :-) I tried a lot of things, even changes to  registry and manually added and changed HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
    "WUServer"="https://internet facing DP name"
    "WUStatusServer"="https://internet facing DP name"

    resetting SCCM client, wuaupdate start stop, detect now report, and sometimes client is working and start to getting updates. But that is not solution.

  • Hi,

    Still sounds like you have a GPO out there, if you Run Group Policy Result and doublecheck that there are no Policies are beeing pushed down.
