#554 5.6.0 STOREDRV.Deliver.Exception:TextConvertersException;

    Question

  • Hi everyone,
we are using Office 365, having some issues when sending email to hosted Exchange platform.
This is what we get back in some cases, but not always (and this is strange)

#554 5.6.0 STOREDRV.Deliver.Exception:TextConvertersException; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message Input document is too complex. ##

Mail content is simple, maybe with attachments that are simple PDF documents or JPG images.

Does anyone knows type this of message and what actions should be taken on the Office 365 side in order to have the email correctly delivered to Exchange on-premise?

According to Microsoft support, the client signature is really simple and should not cause the ND.

Thank you in advance for your kind support and opinion

    Regards,

    Andrea L.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for contacting our forum.

Does this issue affect all the users or random or specific users?

    Given the error message below:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#554 5.6.0 STOREDRV.Deliver.Exception:TextConvertersException; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message Input document is too complex. ##

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Per my experience, this could cause by clients signature, add-ins, attachments. We can check the message tracking log and check if we can find detailed error message as below steps:

Run the following command in EMS:

    Get-MessageTrackingLog –ResultSize Unlimited –Start "07/14/2017 2:30PM” –End “07/14/2017 3:30PM” –Sender “sender@contoso.com”  -MessageSubject "review"| fl >c:\MTL.txt

Please also check if any event errors or warnings in Event viewer and the source of them is MSExchangeTransportDelivery after you run the command below to improve the logging level:

    Set-EventLogLevel -Identity "Exchange01\ MSExchangeTransport\transportService" -Level Expert

    Set-EventLogLevel -Identity "Exchange01\ MSExchangeTransport\storage" -Level Expert

    Hope it helps.

  • Hi Jason,
    thank you for your reply.
We have requested to perform that analysis.

About the issue, it is happening random to different users and only in one case, everything
the user send an email to a specific customer.
Anyway, it seems happening only when using OWA.
Using the desktop version there are no problems.

    Hope it helps...

    Thank you

  • Thanks for your reply.

That means you can reproduce this issue with that user via OWA, am i right?

So you can issue the command as mentioned above to see if any detailed messages in deep.

    Thanks for your effort.
