  • im not interested in right management at all, im only interested in encryption that RMS provides.

Encryption and permissions are there by default, e.g. the document will be encrypted and only User A has read & Print permission assigned. So when user B tries to access the file he will not have permission.

So in this case an RMS encrypted email with PDF attachment, will have the PDF un unencrytped?

As I mention earlier .... NO PDF encryption out-of-the-box.

  • Hi

To clarify all RMS templates encrypt content.

PDF file format is not handled out-of-the-box by ADRMS, you need to invest in add-ons like those from GigaTrust to extend RMS support to PDF.

So PDF attachment will NOT be encrypted at all, the template permissions will only apply to the Email content itself.
