Using Project Server 2010, you can manage dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of projects across your entire organization, and have the information about these projects to be visible to people in your organization, like executives, project managers, and team members.  Using Project Server 2010, you can manage dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of resources that work in projects, and have this resource information visible to people in your organization, such as resource managers, executives, and project managers.  Beyond this, using Project Server 2010, you can leverage the power of timesheets for task progress reporting.  Hope this helps.
