Software Center Download stuck at 0% RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello
I know this has been asked before, but I didnt find a solution working for me in the previous threads. I recently installed SCCM with outsourced DC and SQL Server on a testing env. To test the deployment of some applications I created some packages and deployed them to all systems. After a day or so, the apps finally showed up in the Software Center of my testclients. When I tried downloading them, the Download started, but got stuck on 0%.
As I said I've read some of the previous posts on this issue. I tried using a different Boundary Group/Different Boundaries (instead of AD Site I now use "direct" Subnet), but that didnt help. IIS/Bits seems to be installed fine. Any ways to be sure of that? Are there any logs that could help me find the problem?

    I appreciate any help

    Simon

PS: Im new to SCCM and client management in general. Sorry if I missed something obvious.

  • Hi,

Have you distributed the application/package successfully to the Distribution Point? Check in the Console>Monitoring>Distribution Status>Content Status

Check the AppEnfore.log file located on the client in "%WINDIR%\CCM\Logs" for more details.

  • For content download issue check contenttransfer.log and CAS.log on client.

Also check the IIS log on the DP for corresponding traffic.

  • Hi,

Have you checked if the content shows that it has been successfully deployed to your DP?

Please first try to address the content distribution issue of your DPs.
Also, try to check the Distribution Settings for this content.

    Best regards,
    Larry

  • Hello,

The content seems to be distributed fine:

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/getfile/1481970

As for the AppEnforce log: there is none in the ccm log dir.

Maybe this can help: when I start a download the following is written in the CAS log:

  • Hi

    The content was distributed successfully.

Also, try to check the Distribution Settings for this content.

Which settings do you mean? Properties of the application package or of the DP itself?

Clients use http to communicate with the DP. Cert is self created and not expired (though I don't know what use SCCM puts to it if I have http for communication selected).

  • Matching DP location found 0 -

For the above error, check if you have configured boundary and boundary group correctly.

Also check contenttransfer.log for more details

  • Hello,

I have a Boundary Group (BG1) with one Boundary. The Boundary is refering to the subnet that contains the clients.

    BG1 is configured as follow:

x Use this group for site assignment (Primary Site)

Site system servers: Primary Site (which contains the DP)

I cant find a contenttransfer.log on my clients. Do you refer to the ContentTransferManager?

Just in case I copied some of it here:
