URL Set parameter list mandatory attribute help RRS feed

  • Question

  • We created a trunk for OWA on UAG 2010 which came with the default URL Set rule "InternalSite_Rule1" for the logon page.

    In the parameters list, default has:

    name: orig_url
    name type=string
    value=[^\\'"`|]*
    value type=String
    Length=0:1024
    Existance=Optional

    I am not wanting to allow the orig_url to be sent internally or force the orig_url to a known value.  By default this is populated with our sitename but we dont want people modifying the URL at logon.

    I tried making it mandatory and plugging in the value with https%3a%2f%2fmy,site,com%2fowa%2f

    But this caused failure at the logon page, not sure why.

    Any ideas on how best to attack my issue?

  • Hi Amig@. When a parameter is defined as mandatory then that parameter MUST always appear in the URL path to which its definition belongs. The value of that parameter will be compared to the actual one (the one sent by the user) and the request will be blocked if they don't match. Not sure if this is what you want. If what you want to do is to set the value of a parameter to a fix value no matter what the user sends then you should use an application wrapper/sra custom manipulation
