DriverFrameworks-UserMod event ID 10110 and 10116

    Question

  • My laptop isn't working properly. I found these two critical errors in the event viewer. Also many errors.  Every now and then Dell techs call me and tell me I have trouble with some drivers. But I never let anyone on my computer who calls me. But one day I did and when I told him I couldn't buy the service they offered we were disconnected. I quickly ran my antivirus and found a Trojan. They called me back a few days later and I told them they are frauds. The number is from Dell but in India. But I was having some trouble before that.

  • Hi OhLiz,

If this only happens with one USB-memory, I would say that there is something wrong with it, so I would buy a new one or find another one to test with.

It could also be that the driver for USB has become corrupted, so I would also try to uninstall the USB-driver and re-install it. This can be done from the device manager on the client.

Press the Win key and type "device manager" -> Press "Enter"

From the device manager, right click the devices under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and chose uninstall.
I would start with the once related to the motherboard, in my case the one that starts with Intel(R)

You mouse and keyboard will stop functioning, but the drivers will be installed once again after a reboot.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Hi OhLiz,

According to your description, I suggest that we could try boot in Clean Boot to avoid the effects of third party software. Please refer to the link below.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

If the issue still insists, I suggest that we could check the DMP files as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash.

Hope it will be helpful to you
