Windows Explorer Summary Bar RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I remove the bar at the bottom of Windows Explorer that gives details of the file selected in the right hand pane or the number of files in the folder selected in the navigation pane? It just takes up space on my netbook, and doesn't give me any useful information.

  • Frying Saucer,

You can only resize this information bar in Windows 7, not delete it.

  • Hi,
Select Organize near the top of the explorer window then go down to Layout and remove the check mark next to details pane.
