  • All,

Thanks, What I had to do was to strip out all of the old resources (not tied to any project), non-active directory.  And then the AD Sych started working.  The issue was that AD polled PWA and if a non AD account was listed, it (AD) stopped, after removing non-ad names and groups, it synced like it was supposed to.

    Thanks all for your insight...

  • Hi,

can you run the command nslookup gc._msdcs.idl.idaho.gov from each Project Server that hosts the Queue Services?

    Thanks,

  • Renke,

    Here is what I received:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

    C:\Users\blarson>nslookup gc._msdcs.idl.idaho.gov
    Server:  idlboidc01.idl.local
    Address:  10.222.2.61

    *** idlboidc01.idl.local can't find gc._msdcs.idl.idaho.gov: Non-existent domain

    C:\Users\blarson>

    Thanks,

    Brad

  • Possible reasons:

Conflict in the resource user account or the WRES_AD_GUID

Project server account performing the synchronization may not have permission to update the resource.

Enable the verbose log for Active Directory synchronization to identify the user accounts which gives conflict.

Do you have any vanilla PWA instance on this environment? If yes, check the AD sync to ensure there is no connectivity or permission issue between PSVR and AD.

  • Hi,

it looks the Project Server cannot find the global catalog server, how ever I'm not sure that the domain name is correct, since I do not know your environment. Please verify with your AD Team that a DC holding the GC is accessible, more details see here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc978012.aspx (Ports, etc).
