  • when I tried to open the group policy management editor from gpmc by right clicking the default domain policy a message displayed that "Failed to open the group policy object. You may not have appropriate rights." Please tell me how can I solve this problem??

  • Which account are you using?  Is this computer part of domain and using domain account?

    Following might help ( assuming that, you have appropriate rights on GPO and machine is in domain )
