this occurred after i reinstalled vista ultimate. i quickly saw that control panel, default programs, windows update, networking center and some other programs will not start. no error code or anything like that. i would click on one of the programs(for
example: windows update) and nothing happens. that blue circle shows up for second and then its gone. i did the whole thing with services where i had to restart software licensing. i saw a support site from Microsoft and it said that i have to download SP2.
i did this manually but every time i start the SP2 file it gives me a "unspecified error" and it closes. i never had this problem before. any suggestions?
