    Dear Team

    I have configured the Microsoft iSCSI Target in Windows Server 2008 and the service i.e microsoft iSCSI target service stop automatically after one or two days , i have updated all the latest patch of the server though the problem is still persist , pls provide me the solution for the same .

    Hi,

     

    First of all, Microsoft iSCSI Software Target 3.3is only supported on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, how did you install it on Windows Server 2008? I suspect that there is a typo.

     

    By the way, did you get any errors? Or can you find any errors in Event Viewer?

    tks for quick responce , i am getting bellow mentioned error message  

    iSCSI initiator naa.4c008343eabb4ce4bbb113b2411c757a requested an invalid iSCSI target: iqn.2011-07:dss.target11. The login request was rejected.

    iSCSI initiator naa.4c008343eabb4ce4bbb113b2411c757a requested an invalid iSCSI target: iqn.2011-07:dss.target10. The login request was rejected

    Note :i am getting only above error message in the application log .

    pls help .

    Hi,

     

    In the following page, you will be able to find the following description:

     

    Error message displayed: "ERROR: Login request rejected by iSCSI target system."

     

    Solution: A login request was sent to the iSCSI target system but the login request was rejected. Verify the iSCSI initiator name, target name, LUN number, and CHAP authentication settings match the settings on the iSCSI target system. Verify that the target is configured to allow the Intel iSCSI Remote Boot initiator access to a LUN.
