DirectAccess & Native IPv6 LAN? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm installing DA directly in 2008R2 and would like to use my native IPv6 internal network, but the setup wizard seems to think that it needs to enable IPv6 transition technologies / use ISATAP addressing.  How does it determine if my internal network is native IPv6?

I'm using fec0::/64 for internal network.  My 2008 DC/DHCP server is serving DHCPv6 addresses and Win 7 clients are obtaining leases.  The LAN interface on the DA server has an IPv4 address and IPv6 address (actually two, even though it's statically configured, it's also picking up a DHCP address).  The WAN interface has two consecutive IPv4 addresses (no IPv6 Internet connection).

What am I missing in getting this to work without ISATAP internally?
