Server support accounts

  • Hi all,

I manage the IT department for the company that I'm employed by. Until recently, there were only 2 techs, including myself. All work done on servers (we only have Windows servers), firewalls, etc, was done using admin logins. Between the two of us, we didn't have much worry about the other one doing any malicious. However, the company I work for has just bought out a competitor, and now we're nearly doubling in size. We're going to have 5 IT staff now, and all will require access to the various servers and firewalls. I'm not comfortable giving everyone the main admin user names and passwords. So, what are my options? I know of, VNC, etc, and those would work for servers themselves, but not necessarily the firewalls (SonicWall) and other network devices. Any suggestions or first-hand experience would be appreciated.
