XMLSerializer error on GPMC in Window10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to troubleshoot GPO's in GPMC on Window10.

I created a Group Policy Result and see in the Summary Tab that 4 errors are detected.

I click the hyperlink and then receive the following error:

    Script Error

And error has occurred in the script on this page.

    Error: 'XMLSerializer' is undefined .

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page. Y/N

Click either Y/N does nothing and I am not able to see the 4 errors.

This is a brand new install on Win10.

  • I also get this same in GPResult Wizard

Additionally it shows as the GPOs being "Inaccessible, Empty or Disabled"

This is truly annoying when trying to troubleshoot Group Policy issues remotely from GPMC

    See screenshot:

(NOTE my account is verified, but it won't allow me to upload photo!)

    Any help appreciated.

  • So.. are you guys editing group policy ON a Windows 10 machine, or on some other machine with GMPC?  The reason I ask is that I wonder if the policy templates don't match exactly with the policy definitions available.

Are you syncing your policy templates in the Sysvol through AD replication?  You might want to make sure you're doing that.

How to create the central store for Group Policy

    Hope this helps,

  • This along with RDS not working correctly pretty much makes RSAT on Windows 10 useless.

    Yes. Any other thoughts?

    I noticed the OP didn't include Line 462, Char 9, Code 0.
