CODEDUI issue regarding - security patch (KB2870699) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

When I try to playback the recorded scripts (using CodedUI) I get errors as mentioned :-http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2013/09/17/coded-ui-mtm-issues-on-internet-explorer-with-kb2870699.aspx

I had read that as a temporary workaround I can uninstall security update (KB2870699) which I did but the issue persists.

On reading further I realized that in the link mentioned above, for Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate with SP1(Windows 7), there is a solution for it. The link mentioned that the patch(KB2870699) should be present and then the solution provided.

When I try to install the patch I get the error "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 in Windows 7 (KB2870699) - update is not for your computer"

Please provide a solution to this issue.

  • Hi,

If you want to reinstall the update after deleting it, please try restarting your pc and reinstall.

If it not work, how did you install the update? Please try install manually.

And you can run the system Update Readiness tool before reinstall.
