code 19 could not load driver software RRS feed

  • hi everyone i have a problem about my notebook its toshiba satellite a205 and after updating my windows vista my cd/dvd drive is not working anymore and it was showing in the device manager a error and state like this windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information ( in the registry ) is incomplete or damaged ( code 19 ). so please can anyone give some answer how to fix this problem. thanks in advance

    This error occurs because data in the registry for the device and its driver have been damaged. To troubleshoot this kind of issue
    You need to installWindows DVD patch files

    Please uninstall the device, then scan for the device changes to load this driver.
