Shutdown then unable to start RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just bought windows vista ultimate edition for my computer at home and I'm getting to like to new visuals and effects on it.

However, most of the times when I go to start menu -> power button(shutdown), it shuts down okay (as in it is in its low-power state) but doesn't recover from the shutdown when I turn it back on. The computer will start again however, my monitor will display nothing.

I have updated the Bios for my motherboard and have downloaded and installed all the updates that the vista has offered up-to-date. I would like to shutdown to this low-power state as vista seems to take a bit longer to start-up than XP.

    Please help.

    Thank you.
