    I created an excel pivot table, source as Analysis services cube using sharepoint 2010 and saved it in a doc library. When i open it, I cannot see dimension /measures window (static report) and I have to open the workbook using excel to even get to the dimension/measure window to slice/dice.

    I thought if you have excel srv turned on you can pretty much do everythin within sharepoint 2010. Am i doing something wrong? Can I publish an OLAP pivot table and have  the same ability to slice and dice on the web browser?

    Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated!

    Excel Services is more about Server Side editing and sharing of Excel files.  What you're describing is more in the realms of PerformancePoint, which is the BI offering (and Service Application) for SharePoint.  This sort of report would be created with the Dashboard Designer and then published to a library.

    What version of 2010 are you using?

    I've created drillthrough Fact dimension in this cube. So, when I access it via excel, it lets me to output the drillthrough records on a worksheet in the same workbook.

    Using PPS, the option I have to access cube via reports are Analytical grid, Analytical chart or reporting services. I know I can achieve this by using Reporting services. But Is there way i can create the same thing from PPS while enabling drillthrough functionalities.

    P.S ; I'm fairly new to PPS.
