  • AD FS 3 is in reality called Windows Server 2012 R2 AD FS. As a Windows role, its support cycle follows the one of the OS. So:

    Mainstream Support End Date: 10/9/2018
    Extended Support End Date: 10/10/2023

  • Yes you can work with ADFS on Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2019 domain controllers.

Support lifecycle lookup is available here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/search?alpha=Windows%20Server%202012%20R2%20Standard

    Mainstream Support End Date: 10/9/2018
    Extended Support End Date: 10/10/2023
