A few questions before migrating to 365 Phone System RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can 365 Phone System force, automatically record calls for particular extensions and save/send the recording to a corporate storage/file server?

Is there a queue position announcement? i.e. "Your are the 3rd caller in the phone queue"

Can you force callers to listen to a disclaimer during an automated attendant announcement before taking action like pressing a number to transfer to a hunt group or extension?

Time condition.  How can you 'manually' put an autoattendant in service, i.e. day support vs night support?

How can you view calls in a queue?

  • Hi Fortage2,

Based on my research, you can use BOC Call Recorder. The BOC Call Recorder is designed to allow automatic client side call recording in Skype for Business and Lync 2013. BOC CR works with both on-prem installs as well as cloud hosted deployments. The BOC Call Rec, please refer to

For the queue position, if you mean the function like SFB on premise response group, you can try call queue in SFB online. Skype for Business Online Cloud PBX Call Queues include greetings that are used when someone calls into a phone number for your organization, the ability to automatically put the calls on hold and search for the next available call agent to handle the call while the people who call are listening to music on hold. You can create a single or multiple call queues for your organization.

  • Alice - thanks for the help, I will try the other forum you mentions.  BOC call recorder works on and is dependent on the client for making and storing the call recording.  Can it be setup to record to a central file store where all company call recording are kept?

I don't quite understand your answer about the queue position announcement.  Most phone systems I've used have a built in function the tells the caller their individual position in the queue. Is that available?

  • None of these things are natively possible in Skype for Business (online or on-prem). You will need to use a 3rd party integration (like EngHouse or Clarity Connect) to accomplish those types of things.
