Cleaning up of GPO Objects in sysvol

    Question

  • Hi All,

Need help on this. I am using w12 server in my office. 2 of them. I have 14 GPOs in the GPO MMC. however in the sysvol folder, I noticed they are 43 folders that begin with the "{.." I suspect the GPO is not removed from the sysvol folder. may I know how do I go about it?

    What do they end with?

These are "orphaned" folders, left over from whatever. Most probably due
    to replication issues...

    Run 'dsquery * -filter "(objectclass=grouppolicycontainer)"'
This will list all GUIDs that are active GPOs. Delete all others from
    sysvol.
