SSIS There is insufficient system memory in resource pool 'internal' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Keep getting this error when running an SSIS warehouse load. We have SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard 64-bit on Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 64-bit. The server has 8Gb RAM and we've installed both the database engine and SSIS on the same server.

The SSIS packages perform really well, but every so often after a while I get this error. I can run the queries below and continue. But is there anyway of configuring the settings to avoid this in the future?

    DBCC FREESYSTEMCACHE ('ALL')
    DBCC FREESESSIONCACHE
    DBCC FREEPROCCACHE

Is it because SSIS and the DB are both fighting for memory?

    Any help appreciated.

    b/

  • what is your ssis package schema?

did you used memory consumer transformation? for example MULTI CAST transformation?

if yet, this may be the reason of why SSIS eats lot's of system memory.
