Adobe Captivates exported as HTML now contain .JSON files- how to make them work?

    Question

  • We have SharePoint 2013 enterprise and uploaded an exported html web application package.

We have an asset library and uploaded the package to that library. We had to enable .json as an allowed file type to upload a set of files with .json extension, which are located in a /dr folder of the export.

We cannot however make the app run when opening the index.html. It sits hanging, and when we checked the browser devoloper tools, is waiting on the .json files to serve.

We then followed this guide to add an IIS handler: http://www.uipress.com/add-json-handler-support-in-iis-7/

We seem to also have an additional json entry. configured as:

    path: *.json  type: System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptHandlerFactory, System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35 Name: JSONHandlerFactor"

Anything else required? Do we just need to change/add something different in IIS?

    Many thanks
