  • Hello Mark,

I don't have answer for your question about Zones meaning but i have work around for per machine proxy setting which work for my case.

Here in below link you will found steps

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/7d420c66-2e89-43d7-b136-baf5f69690f1/locking-down-ie-proxy-settings-under-pc-settingsnetworkproxy-on-windows-81?forum=w8itprosecurity

You can follow high level steps here but different from article as i had apply it as preference registry

1 - Apply proxy settings in one machine
2- Export proxy setting for connections “DefaultConnectionSettings” and “SavedLegacySettings”
3- Change from User >> Computer register as above link
4- take this and apply it on Domain controller that you run GPMC
5- Create preferences for above two register “DefaultConnectionSettings” and “SavedLegacySettings”
6- Create preferences for proxyserver and proxyenable
7- apply Make proxy settings per-machine setting

or you can script it in strat up script as articles

    Hope this work with you.
