MS Project 2013 Visual Reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • All,

In trying to use visual reports in MSP 2013, I receive the following message..."This operation requires that you have Excel 2003 or later installed on your computer."

    I have Excel installed.

    Any thoughts on a resolution?

    Cheers,

    Cole

If memory serves me correctly, this error dialog indicates you need to update your copy of Microsoft Project 2013 with the latest updates.  Hope this helps.

  • Hi Cole,

Generally it is due to the fact that the Excel application executable is not in the folder MS Project is looking at, often for a version issue. Try to repair or reinstall MS Project.

    Hope this helps,

  • Thanks! That plus putting the Excel.exe in the same folder as the winproj.exe did the trick.
