  • HI,

According to your description, the policy has apparently applied to the client.  What did the desktop look like right now? Is it still the previous desktop or just a black screen?

You can follow these steps to narrow down the issue.

1.Firstly try to shut down the client and make it to restart to see if it desktop is showing. 2.Make sure the client is activated successfully. Since if the system isn’t activated, there will be many functions disabled.

2.Then go to the regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Wallpaper to see if the applied wallpaper is shown.

3.Check if the third-party software has block the behavior, you can perform a clean boot and delete the bginfo.exe, which may force to change the desktop.

4.Log on with another domain account on the problematic machine, if the desktop shows then I consider it may be caused by corrupted user profile. Here is the reference that shows how to fix the corrupted user profile.
