FAST Search 2010 RefinementName return hash values RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have some documents sets which are crawled by FAST and by using the default coniguration on Refinement Panel, I get the refiner RefinerONE. When I mouse over, I see it is coming from owstaxIdRefOne.

I create a new Managed Property with these details:

    Property Name = "RefOne"

Mapped to the Crawled Property = ows_taxid_RefOne

    Perform a full crawl.

The results contain hash values like this one: #0769e9062-4a20-435d-9a5e-0ad53323e8f1

Can somebody help me with this?

    Many thanks in advance.

  • Is this a multivalued field?
You may want to enable ffdumper to see if the crawled property has the hash tag when its crawled i.e
    -Enabled ffdumper in  C:\FASTSearch\etc\config_data\DocumentProcessor\optionalprocessing.xml.
    -Do a psctrl reset
    -Recrawl the document.

  • Is not a multivalue field.

I will enable ffdumper and let you know about the results.

(this will be late next week as it is on the customer side)

    Thanks for your response.
