Error on Custom Image RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've created a custom image and added a new task sequence and each time it returns the attached error. It does work fine with my base image (from the OEM disc). Not sure what the issue is. I am using VMWare machine. I thought at first the hard drive was not large enough. I made a new VM with a 100GB hard drive, same issue results.

  • Could be a corrupted WIM, hard to tell without more info or looking over the log file.

  • Can you post your bdd.log, either to onedrive, box, dropbox, etc. and post the link here.

  • Your log ends with:

####### NOTE:  If this is one of the  last lines in your BDD.log file, check C: for the most up to date bdd.log!!! ZTIDiskpart 8/30/2016 7:15:27 PM 0 (0x0000)

Normally right after that (in the logs) it should start copying the Scripts.

If you check C:\MININT can you find a more up to date log?

  • I didn't have a MININT folder. However, below is a link to the BDD.log file on the C:\ drive.

  • Here we go:   Console > The specified image file did not contain a resource section.

Take a look at this thread - https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b0317514-e2b5-4035-85af-2c2986a0af00/error-specified-image-file-did-not-contain-a-resource-section?forum=mdt

By the way you should consider setting the SLShare value in customsettings so your logs are saved to an easy to get to location.
