  • You probably need to check with Software Manufacturer on this.

Or use some 3rd party tool like Avecto and provide limited admin access.

  • Hi mrezap2000,

We could try the steps to achieve.

Go to the properties of C drive and to the security tab

Check if your user have full access to the drive

If no, click on edit(Pic 1) --> You could see the link to reach the pics from the link below

Click on the Full control check box in the second box there(Pic 2).

Reboot the PC and try now.

If you still have no access to the c drive

Follow the same steps to reach the pic 2 and click on Add

In the box open type everyone and click on check names and click ok and reboot the PC --> You should have the access by now.

Please note: by giving permission to every you are granting permission to all the users on your PC.

  • Hi mrezap2000,

I would like to confirm with you few questions:

Were you able to save the files on C:/ drive before without any issues?

Is the computer connected in Domain?

What is the exact error code or error message that you get?

This issue can occur if the Administrators group has been removed from the “Backup Files and Directories” user right.

    1. Click Start ORB, in the Search Field, type secpol.msc, and then press ENTER.
    2. Double-click Local Policies.
    3. Double-click User Rights Assignment.
    4. Double-click Back up Files and directories.
    5. Click Add, and then double-click the Local Administrators group
    6. Click OK.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Hi mrezap2000,

If you are not a domain user and could create file in the folder in drive C except the software. You probably need to check with Software Manufacturer on this. I change the user account and could create file in the folder in drive c.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Hi mrezap2000,

Based on the information you provided, I have a test. Only the administrators could create document. Ordinary users cannot create. This setting is the default.

Hope it will be helpful to you

  • Hi mrezap2000,

To create file in the C root drive c is only administrator. This is a setting by design, I'm afraid that we couldn't change.

    Best regards,

    Carl Fan
