exchange 2007 email transaction log RRS feed

  • Hi,

    how do we check nos. of email gone and came through exchange 2007.

     

    i mean like track logs for email transaction happened in one month. to understand what is the work load or email load on server.

  • You can run Get-Messagetracking log command with -start and -end paramets to specify the month start and month end date.

    Then export the output in a CSV file by using the " | Export-Csv C:\result.csv " at the end of get-messagetracking command.

    Open that CSV file in Excel and sort the colums accordingly.

    You can also use Log Parser to scan message tracking logs and get the message count.

    Vaijnath C V : you will have to play here with performance monitor. you will have to configure a performance monitor to create log for disk utilization by store.exe. you can add various counters like Disk IO/read Write etc(choose counters according to your needs) to measure the disk utilization by store.exe

  • i used days transaction log to get nos of email transation in aday and calculated the sapce as wel.
