Assign Incident per Mail RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey guys,

Is it possible to assign an unassign ticket per mail to myself?

I want to write an answer to/click a link out of a "theres a new ticket in your group"-mail to assign a ticket to myself. Without using SCSM Console.

    ExchangeCon is installed.

  • Hey

AFAIK this is not possible OOB. However, you send back an email with a keywork in the mail body that is then written to the action log of the incident. This could trigger a custom workflow or runbook that assigns the ticket to the creator of the action log entry.

    Cheers

  • Just as Marcel says, It's not possible by default. His suggest is possible. What also (but it's an expensive one) is to use the SCSM Outlook console from Cireson. Click here for more info.
