Project Pro 2013 clears name/cost of some PWA enterprise resources in projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have Project Server 2013 (15.0.4128.1014) with 75 enterprise projects. When we access those projects with Project Pro 2013, most of the projects agree with costs displayed in Project Center. However, a disturbing number of projects have costs that don’t match. It appears that not all of the costs are downloaded into Project Pro.

I’ve been able to replicate the problem with one resource: (it happens in some other resources, too)

    1. In Project Pro project MyProj's, under task MyTask, add MyResource.

    2. Publish MyProj to PWA. MyResource appears correctly in Project Center for MyProj.

    3. Clear Project Pro cache.

    4. Reload MyProj in Project Pro.

    5. In Project Pro MyTask's Task Information, the MyResource's Units is still there, but the Resource Name is blank and Cost has been zeroed out, thus affecting the total project cost. PWA is still correct, though.

Why would Project Pro blank and zero out MyResource's name and cost?
