Telnet session terminates as Windows goes to standby RRS feed

    When I initiate  a telnet session to an UNIX / Linux machine from a Windows machine it works fine.  However when the Windows machine goes to standby  and wakes up , the telnet session is terminated and I need to start afresh.Can this be avoided? Thanks
