• Hi,

    You would want to use the JDBC Connector to feed records from SQL Server 2008 to ESP 5.3 so they can be indexed and searchable. The JDBCURL and JDBCDriver parameters in your JDBC Connector config file would look similar to the below:

        <parameter name="JDBCURL" type="string" separator=" ">

          <value><![CDATA[jdbc:sqlserver://127.0.0.1:1433;database=databasenameDB;SelectMethod=Cursor]]></value>

        </parameter>

        <parameter name="JDBCDriver" type="string" separator=" ">

          <value><![CDATA[com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver]]></value>

        </parameter>

    The SQLServer JDBC drivers that are included with the JDBC connector will work with SQL Server 2008, but not R2. If you are going to use SQL 2008 R2, you will want to download the Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 3.0 and use that jar file with your connector. This can be downloaded at the below URL:

    http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=21599

    Once you extract the driver, you will need to place the file sqljdbc4.jar in the lib folder of the JDBC connector install directory (%FASTSEARCH%\connectors\jdbc\lib). You can refer to the JDBC Connector documentation that can be downloaded from MSConnect for more information.
