Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 not automatically updating

Question

Hi,
Apologies if this belongs in the SCCM 2012 forum rather than this but I wasn't 100% sure. My problem is I've rolled out FEP 2010 to windows 7 and XP clients on our network. It installs fine but never updates automatically, despite the fact I believe I have to correct ADR and Device settings. The strange thing it it updates fine manually but not when left to its own accord.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not really sure what the best logs to look at are and I've done extensive searches on the net including making sure that I've disabled alternate sources for the initial definition updates as suggested by many. I probably haven't been very helpful in this first post so if you require any logs or other details please let me know.
Thanks
Max

Hi,
Not sure what you mean in point 1 - about production lists. They must be pointing to the same MP as new software deployments are advertised fine in client software center; this also means that they must be communicating with each other too.
I will post the windowsupdate.log on an sccm forum as it is full of httpproxy errors.
Regards

Hi
According to your description I think there is some configuration mistakes with your SCCM.
- Please check if FEP is included in the list which production can update from SCCM.
- Please check both server and client if they point to the same MP
- If SCCM client and SCCM server can communicate with each other
- Please collect windows update log and any error information
You can refer to the link below to check your configuration of your SCCM.

If the issue persists ,please provide windows update log and ask SCCM Team for help through the link below:
